Floribunda
Floribunda Roses share the top popularity status along with Hybrid Tea. Whereas Hybrid Teas are noted for their size and quality of the individual flower, the purpose of Floibunda is to provide a massed effect by the production of many blooms in large clusters. The Floribunda was originally produced by crossing Hybrid Tea roses with an old fashioned Polyantha Roses. By combining the two it was possible to create hardy free-flowering roses in a variety of colours. Many are also fragrant. These flowers are not as large as Hybrid Teas, but clusters of up to 20 blooms are formed on a single stem, which over the whole bush gives a fabulous massed effect. Floribundas are wonderful roses and are at their best when used in numbers in the garden.
